We offer a free one hour in-person consultation.
Fees are determined by the level and complexity of the case. Most criminal cases require a flat, non-refundable fee which covers the entire representation, including jury trial. Most family law cases require a retainer, and are billed hourly. Payment plans are available in most cases.

We focus on criminal defense and family law because that's what we are passionate about.
I encourage clients to learn as much as they can about the law, but I want them to get accurate information. I provide resources for those who want to do their own research because there is a lot of misinformation out there, especially from friends, family members, or the guy sitting next to you at the jail who may have had a similar case. Even when two people are charged with the exact same crime, there are many variables to consider in determining strategies or predicting possible outcomes.

I will only do this on the most minor cases, such as speeding tickets or driving on suspended licenses. In most cases, clients should NEVER represent themselves - there's too much at stake.
Both Susan & Rose Zamora previously worked for Hollub & Associates in Seguin, Texas before forming their own firm. The owner, Heather Hollub, had decided to run for District Attorney of Guadalupe County (ultimately successfully), and closed down her private practice. Prior to that, Susan was a solo practitioner, always focused on criminal defense.
During her 3rd year in law school, she was enrolled in the Criminal Justice Clinic at St. Mary's University School of Law. She was able to represent indigent people accused of misdemeanors, under the supervision of her professors. That experience, and the wealth of knowledge and passion passed on from my clinical professors, makes her a better lawyer.
Firm strengths are in evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of a case, and being able to explain these to a client in a way he or she understands. We also try to understand the things that are important to a client, and what he or she has going on in life right now in order to obtain a favorable outcome for that person.
* Nolo has confirmed that every member attorney has a valid license and is in good standing with the state agency that licenses lawyers. Any past disbarments and suspensions (with possible exceptions for minor violations or nonpayment of dues, in our discretion) will be indicated accordingly in the badge. Member attorneys are required to notify Nolo immediately if they become the subject of any disciplinary action by any state licensing agency.
