Hill Law Offices, PC, has been incorporated since April 2009. Prior to this, we were Hill Law Office, an owner-operated solo law firm, established in June 2007.
Our firm focuses entirely on estate planning for families, and cases in the probate court. These cases include wills, trusts, probate, trust administration, and conservatorships.
All of my cases are handled in a very personal and professional manner, and are only accepted if I believe that there is a good foundation for pursuing the clients' interests. We assist trustees in fulfilling all legal requirements of administering a trust, including noticing beneficiaries, marshaling assets, paying valid claims and distribution to beneficiaries. Probate cases are handled in a similar manner to trust administration, but also require that we file documents with the proper court and attend court hearings.

We offer a FREE 30-minute consultation for all estate planning services (wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, etc.), and will quote a flat fee for services after the consultation for your consideration. After an initial telephone intake discussion, other services are typically billed at the normal hourly rate for the office consultation.
Estate planning services are generally flat fee services. At the end of our initial 30-minute FREE consultation, I will have the information I need from you to quote a specific price for your estate plan. Probate fees are set by law and will be explained to you anytime you need to know. All other rates for services vary depending on the service. Some are flat fee, and others are based on an hourly rate. If you mention that you found me on Nolo, you will receive a 5% discount on services.
We will be happy to quote our hourly rates to you upon your request.

I enjoy estate planning, probate and trust administration, because they all allow me to assist clients to limit expenses and losses, and help them to preserve assets for themselves and their families.
Everyone should be aware of the legal issues involved in their own matters because all decisions in a case are ultimately their own, and should be well thought out. Our role is to help educate the client on their matters so they can make well-informed decisions. Any additional research the clients do on their own can only help us to have more meaningful and productive conversations.
I am always willing to review and comment on documents created by clients.
I am willing to consider serving in an advisory-only capacity, and have done so on a number of cases. Whether or not I will agree to do so on an individual matter will depend on the complexity and nature of the specific case.
I am a State Bar Certified Specialist in the area of Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Law. I served as a law clerk for the California Superior Court, Sacramento, Probate Division in 2006, prior to opening my own law firm.
Analytical abilities, logical thinking and organizational skills are key to good legal work, and are all areas I have developed over the years. I have very strong math skills and have many years of experience in financial areas, including accounting and taxation.
My strengths are my knowledge and experience in a focused area of law. My style is to provide personal attention to each case that is tailored to fit each client's individual needs.
Personal interests:I enjoy natural history and science, vegetarian cooking, music, travel, golf and my family.
