Walker Law Offices, LLC was established June 1, 2010. The primary focus of the firm is assisting businesses and entrepreneurs resolve legal challenges in a cost-effective manner. I have over twelve years of experience at two of the largest and most respected international law firms -- Jones Day and Squire, Sanders & Dempsey. I want to use that experience to assist all types of businesses, from start-up to corporate entities, in reducing legal costs without sacrificing the quality of service they receive.

• Represented a regional recycling corporation in cases involving breach of contract, commercial general liability insurance coverage, conversion, fraud, civil theft, unjust enrichment, and the Consumer Sales Practices Act.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I always say that I didn't choose my primary area of practice, it chose me. After law school I wanted to focus solely on criminal defense. However, as my legal career progressed in the Army and then at Jones Day, it became clear that I enjoy working with business and corporate clients.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I think it is important for clients to understand every aspect of a legal matter. Accordingly, every client should do as much research into an issue as possible before deciding whether an attorney is needed and, if so, who the appropriate attorney should be.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I am always willing to review documents prepared by clients.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I will only coach clients in small claims court.
