How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

Working with business owners to support their success brings a variety of issues and problems to the table as well as the potential for limitless creative solutions and strategies. I relish being a part of such an exciting opportunity.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

Yes, I applaud any client who has taken the initiative to discover more about their issue and I am happy to be a part of that journey. Educating oneself about a legal issue is a great way for a client to make efficient use of legal assistance.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Yes, I gladly review documents prepared by clients. Often the process a client goes through to draft their own document helps to focus and frame the issue that needs to be addressed.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

Yes, I will assist clients at the level of coaching they need or desire. Many clients are more than capable and willing to take on the task at hand with a little guidance.

Sarah Adams

Before opening my own firm I worked with the Portland City Attorney's Office and private firms advising on their employment law related matters as well as managing contracts for the City of Portland Bureau of Environmental Services.

Having grown up with and having worked with many entrepreneurs has given me a key understanding of the breadth of issues facing many business owners. In addition, I was always taught the value of listening and use these skills to hear what the client needs or wants allowing me to best serve my clients.

I am a great listener and I use this as a tool to help my client pinpoint his or her needs. Then I apply my knowledge and use all resources available to devise a solution or strategy that will work best in their particular situation. In addition, I rely on a pool of other professionals to draw from to provide other complimentary support such as CPAs, insurance advisors, and marketing mentors.

Personal interests:

Good food, books, dancing, and commuting by bicycle.
