To help a person who is facing criminal or family legal problems means the most important things to us are at stake. There is no more challenging or rewarding area to practice.
I find it very helpful when a client can come in to my office understanding legal terminology, processes and certain legal theories. It is always helpful when someone can educate themselves to better understand the process. However, I do not suggest that a person then represent themselves for any matter.

I previously worked as a Deputy Prosecutor for Canyon County before going into business with Gulstrom & Henson, PC in 2004. I attended the University of Idaho, graduating class of 1996, with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. While attending the University of North Dakota to pursue my Juris Doctorate, which I received in May of 2002, I worked at the criminal defense firm of Larivee and Light, LLC, as well as externed for the King County Prosecutor's Office for the "Most Dangerous Offenders Project." I assisted in publishing the textbook of "Norwegian Comparative Law" (2001) with Professor Thomas Lockney, at the same time as I attended the University of Oslo, Norway. While in Norway I studied comparative law.
In the legal arena I have had experience as a prosecutor and defense attorney. To know each side of a legal battle certainly gives me an advantage. I have also worked as an attorney defending insurance companies; giving a well rounded approach to my representation, ranging from the simplest to the most complex of cases.
We understand and communicate with our clients at their level of understanding when it comes to the legal system. No matter if it is your first court experience or your fiftieth, we ensure that your needs are being handled appropriately.
