Each attorney in the office has had significant experience in the areas of law that the office practices in, and has found both personal and professional fulfillment with their specialities.
While it is certainly important and desirable for a client to familiarize him or herself with any legal matters in which he or she is involved, it is also our role as their advisor to assist in this process, answer all questions he or she may have, and keep the client both educated and up-to-date on their case.
Since any statements, verbal or written, made by a party may be later used against that individual in a subsequent hearing; it is preferable to have documents reviewed by legal counsel. In addition, my review may assure that important issues are not overlooked.
I do not believe that an individual involved in a criminal matter should represent themselves and I would be reluctant to "coach" such a person. However, I have provided legal consultation to individuals representing themselves in civil matters.

1. Deeter v. Yamaha Motor Corporation USA, 2005 WL940902 (Ohio App.2 Dist) 2005-Ohio-1931 = case involved a defective motorcycle that was out of service for 30 or more days within the owners first year and prior to 18,000 miles of use for a serious safety defect. I filed a MSJ against Yamaha that was granted, Yamaha appealed and lost. Consumer was granted a buyback and attorneys fees.
2. Yantek v. Coach Builders Limited, Hamilton County Court of Appeals 1st Dist. Case No. C080112 - client purchased a Cadillac that was converted to a convertible by the Defendant. Large amounts of water leaked into the vehicle. Consumer sued for breach of warranty. A jury entered a verdict on behalf of Mr.Yantek. Coach Builders filed an appeal and lost. Consumer awarded money for the diminution in value of the vehicle and attorneys fees.
