What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?
It is important for clients to be savvy because there are many unscrupulous people who give false information. Always checking with a lawyer is also important to make sure state laws are complied with properly to achieve the proper ultimate goal.
Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?
I encourage people to seek my review of documents to make sure they understand what they are signing and achieving their proper outcome.
Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?
I give advice to clients on a regular basis, but encourage them to also retain a lawyer as a backup.
Why did you decide to be a lawyer?
I love going to work every day to help people achieve all that the community has to offer in order for them to enjoy their retirement years as comfortably as possible.
What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?
I am a late in life attorney, raised two beautiful, successful daughters, married 38 years to the same man, have living parents in their 80s and 90s, and understand the difficulty of growing old and the challenges the laws present to the elderly. I am a baby boomer, myself!
Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?
I love working with the elderly and I have a lot of patience and understanding.
What do you like best about your career?
Meeting new people, listening to their stories, and seeing their faces full of relief when they know I can help them.
Tell us about your law firm:
I am a solo practitioner, so all my clients deal directly with me. I have a wonderful paralegal who is attentive to all my clients’ immediate needs.
What are your strengths and style?
My strengths are my patience, my ability to empathize with my clients, and my ability to put them at ease because I am one of them.
Personal Interests:
Duplicate Bridge, sailing, and movies.

I do require retainers; however, this is customized to the capabilities of the client and complexity of the case involved.
Nolo's Licensing Check
Attorneys have passed a licensing check. Nolo has confirmed that every member attorney has a valid license and is in good standing with the state agency that licenses lawyers upon joining the directory.
Directory lawyers are required to notify Nolo immediately if they become the subject of any disciplinary action by any state licensing agency.
