The firm was established in 1975 when I passed the bar exam. Since that time it was been located continuously at 47 Jackson Street, Saugus, MA 01906.
The law firm is currently engaged in the civil practice of law with an emphasis on probate, trust, estates and real estate. Litigation is minimal and is generally referred out.
Probate matters have been as simple as administering a will where all parties are in agreement to sophisticated probate litigation involving multiple parties and properties.
Real Estate matters have included litigation before the MA Land Court to determine the interpretation of documents and rights among parties.

Having initially engaged in a general practice of law, I determined that I enjoy dealing with wills, trusts, estates, estate planning and real estate the most. These areas allow me to interact with my clients in a positive and planned manner as opposed to just reacting.
Clients should be aware of the legal issues that affect them. However, they should be cautious about taking action on their own. Often they fail to consider related matters.
I am willing to examine documents but feel that it is necessary for the client to determine to what extent they wish me to actively participate in the modification or preparation of documents.
Massachusetts now allows lawyers to coach clients within defined limitations. Within those limitations, I am willing to counsel and coach clients.
During law school I was employed by Withinton, Cross and Groden in Boston, MA.
During the summer of 1974, I was employed as a Deputy Assistant Clerk of Courts at the Lynn District Court located at 580 Essex St., Lynn, MA.
Since admission to the bar, I have continuously maintained a practice at 47 Jackson Street, Saugus, MA 01906.
I have volunteered going back to when I was in high school. On the same day I was notified that I had passed the bar, I was also elected to the School Committee in the town of Saugus where I have lived virtually my entire life. Service on Boards and Committees has provided me with a deeper insight as to the needs of my clients.
I listen. Based upon the situation I will often make multiple recommendations and explain the various benefits and downsides of each.
Personal interests:I enjoy music and have a large collection of CDs and records. I also enjoy golf although I am hardly an accomplished golfer.
