Example Cases
• Recent case involved in Nebraska, a client with cervical disc injuries arising out of a fairly low impact auto collision. Required working closely with medical professionals to prove that the collision caused the spine injuries. After the lawsuit was filed, the case ended in a favorable cash settlement for the client.
• In a number of recent cases, obtained workers compensation benefits for injured workers after initial denial of benefits. Often workers are denied for the alleged reason that injuries are not work related and working with clients we are able to prove that injuries arose out of work of the injured employee.
• I handled a medical malpractice case against a local hospital for negligent administration of the wrong drug. After a lawsuit was filed, the case ended in a favorable cash settlement for the client.

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?
I think it is necessary for people to educate themselves on legal issues. People need to know their rights and understand the mechanisms of the legal system.
Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?
I am more than happy to do this under a limited scope agreement. It provides the start of a relationship and is a necessary part of helping people deal with legal issues.
Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?
I have found coaching ineffective. In some cases, a client can represent themselves on matters but "coaching" is not the right terminology to describe the relationship of lawyer and client.
Why did you decide to be a lawyer?
Out of a strong desire to help others; I get satisfaction seeing people stand up for their rights.
What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?
I have worked for others and enjoy providing support for others in difficult situations.
Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?
Allows me to work for others who need help and to help others endure difficult situations by getting the help they need.
What do you like best about your career?
Satisfaction in helping others through the legal maze.
