How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I enjoy litigation, civil, criminal, or bankruptcy, because I enjoy the competition and the knowledge that when the matter is completed the outcome is measurable.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I believe that the legal industry has made it difficult for clients to get reliable information about their legal concerns. The best procedure is to do some basic legal research online and then speak to several competent attorneys to select a path forward.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I feel that anyone who drafts a legal document without an attorney should have that document reviewed or revised to comply with local law and practice and to ensure that it is effective. I have performed these reviews for my clients on many occasions, saving them time, money and heartache.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

This creates a difficult situation that in my experience is only marginally effective. I have done it, but have learned that it is not always a productive practice.

Michael Tucker

After being admitted in 1991, I opened my own practice and worked as a solo or partner for nearly 20 years before joining Healey, Deshaies, Gagliardi & Woelfel, PC. My experience is largely in criminal litigation, civil litigation, bankruptcy, and estate and business planning.

I have worked for or run manufacturing operations, banks and service corporations. I have almost 20 years of experience and a well-rounded knowledge of what my clients do and how a legal representation can affect their life.

Whether billing on a flat fee or by the hours it is important to be efficient, aggressive, and effective. I think my years of experience have made me all three.

Personal interests:

My time is divided between my family, my job, and my church. The hobbies I enjoy are woodworking, shooting, and golf.

Harold Owen Beede

I have been practicing primarily civil litigation, pursuing justice for clients in the courts, in Massachusetts since 1992 and in New Hampshire since 1997. I joined Healey, Deshaies, Gagliardi & Woelfel, PC, in 2003. Prior to this I was the principal of the Law Office of Harold Owen Beede PC and a partner in the law firm of Arcos & Beede LLP, each with offices in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. I have litigated for individuals and corporate clients at all levels of state and federal trial and appellate courts, including obtaining published victories in the Massachusetts Appeals Court, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the New Hampshire Supreme Court.
I decided to work as an attorney to engage my strengths as a persuasive communicator and avid legal analyst to help people by solving problems and obtaining justice.As a young adult, before I went to law school, I experienced what it was like to be injured due to someone else's carelessness, and also experienced first-hand how an insurance company can try to take advantage of you.
I am persuasive without being theatrical. I have found that judges - and most experienced opposing attorneys - respect well-reasoned, civil arguments backed up with logic, facts, and solid legal analysis.
Personal Interests:
After wrangling with legal arguments and analysis all day or all week, I enjoy physical work or recreation, like home improvement projects or team sports. I also enjoy music. Time spent socializing with family and friends is a luxury I cherish.
