Firm Focus and History
I opened my practice in 1992, and have represented clients continuously in the same location since that time. It is amazing that I am now representing the children of clients I represented 20 years ago.
For 22 years, the focus of my practice has been on fighting for the rights of disabled people. Capable representation in other areas includes divorce, bankruptcy and general civil litigation.
Previous Employment Summary
For two years after graduating from law school, I acted as general counsel for a small construction company doing public and private road work, underground tank removal and other related contract work.
Activities and Awards
I have been a member of the Better Business Bureau.

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?
I encourage clients to educate themselves. The more clients understand about the process, the more engaged they are, the better the outcome is likely to be.
Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?
I am willing to review documents prepared by clients so long as the documents related to representation.
Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?
I do provide counsel on an hourly basis and provide support for those clients willing to represent themselves.
Why did you decide to be a lawyer?
I wanted to be able to make a difference. I have found my work assisting clients deeply satisfying.
What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?
My parents were first generation Americans. They struggled and strived despite many health challenges and without knowing how to navigate the system.
Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?
It felt right. It was an area where I could connect in a personal, meaningful way with my clients, and have a lasting positive impact on their lives. That means something to me. It is privilege to be allowed to share in the process of reaching financial and emotional safety and security.
What do you like best about your career?
My clients. My clients. My clients. Their lives, hopes, dreams, their stories.
Tell us about your law firm:
I am a solo, and my last assistant was with me for four years before she became a full time mother. My new office assistant is a beautiful hardworking young woman who has been sensitive to the needs of the clients and is extremely responsive.
What are your strengths and style?
My strengths include my compassion and 22 years of experience with Disability Hearings. Years of experience preparing witnesses, taking testimony and cross examining experts provides broad insight as to what is necessary to prevail.

I love reading, writing, movies, cooking, and long walks.
