The Meyerkord Law Firm of Kansas City was established when I felt the need to branch out to properly defend personal injury victims of all kinds.

Activities and Awards

Previously, I have worked as an Associate Attorney, Law Clerk, and Adjunct Professor. This complete immersion into the legal system has given me an intimate knowledge of the law and the processes surrounding it.

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I believe that the client is the ultimate decision maker in every case and therefore it is my responsibility to keep them well informed on all legal issues concerning them. So they can make the best decision for themselves.

I am open to reading and reviewing all documents that will help me assist my clients to the best of my abilities.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

Depending on the situation, I am willing to sit down in an initial consultation to talk to my clients and find the best way to aid them.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I wanted to help people in their time of need by assisting them on their way to monetary compensation. I believe that in a moment as emotionally trying as the time after a personal injury; you deserve to have someone looking out for your rights as best they can.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

My experiences working on many levels of the legal system give me a unique and complete understanding of how the process works which allows me to defend and protect my clients to the best of my abilities.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

I wanted to be able to take care of victims going through a stressful time in their lives. By offering legal guidance, I am able to help them get their life back on track and make the process as stress free as possible. It's hard enough to deal with the emotional stress of an accident, by stepping in; I can ensure that they do not have to concern themselves anymore with the process than absolutely necessary.

What do you like best about your career?

I love the fact that I am a counselor, advisor, and a fighter. I love being given the chance to help people in their time of need and keeping them as protected as possible.

Tell us about your law firm:

I am a solo practitioner, so all of my clients deal directly with me and me alone. I will not shove them off on an associate, but dedicate the personal attention that they deserve.

What are your strengths and style?

I am compassionate and tenacious when it comes to fighting for my client's future. I believe that it is my duty to protect them to the best of my abilities and I will stop at nothing in pursuit of getting them the successful result they desire.
