My passion has always been to defend people accused of crimes and to protect our rights as individuals. I started at the Public Defenderâs office in law school and have been fighting for justice one person at a time since 1999. If the police and prosecution are not challenged our system will fail.
I have seen a lack of skilled defense attorneys in the DUI field and I have seen good people harmed as a result. I have dedicated my firm to the zealous defense of DUI and driving cases in Los Angeles. DUIâs are a very complicated type of criminal case. Such a case needs the special attention of a good attorney focused on defending DUI cases.
May other firms may claim to be DUI defense attorneys, but seldom do they take the steps necessary to become an expert in DUI defense. I have trained since 1999 in all things related to DUIâs and now I teach other attorneys how to properly defend DUI cases.
I am trained as a Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) student and as a SFST instructor; as well as training with the Drug Recognition Evaluation program on a national level. I have successfully trained on breath testing instruments as well as completing graduate level studies in blood testing and gas chromatography.
I am also a member of the California DUI Lawyers Association, the National College for DUI Defense, as well as other defense bar associations.
Three of the main things that differentiate my firm from others are 1. Experience, 2. Results, and 3. Customer service.
Education is a key part of defending a DUI case and getting the best result for my clients. Without a good understating of DUI law a person may not be able to make the correct decision on how to defend their case.
* Nolo has confirmed that every member attorney has a valid license and is in good standing with the state agency that licenses lawyers. Any past disbarments and suspensions (with possible exceptions for minor violations or nonpayment of dues, in our discretion) will be indicated accordingly in the badge. Member attorneys are required to notify Nolo immediately if they become the subject of any disciplinary action by any state licensing agency.

When someone is stopped by the police, regardless of whether or not hey have been drinking, they are nervous and don’t know exactly how to act.

If you are involved in a DUI accident, not only do you have to worry about the regular penalties facing a DUI suspect, you have to worry about paying for all of the damage that was done.

What’s the worst that could happen because of my Los Angeles DUI arrest? I HATE this question, and I get it almost every day. The truth is… it depends...

In Los Angeles County there is a big difference between a “Wet Reckless” and a regular DUI conviction. A “Wet Reckless” is a lesser or lower level offense than a DUI (or driving under the influence) charge.
