Addressing and helping people in financial hardships. I also represent clients in all types of real estate matters.
I started my solo firm in Illinois in September 1991. I have had the Libertyville Office since then. In 2000 (late), we relocated to Colorado for my husband's job. I practiced in Colorado in 2001 to 2004. Again, my husband's job relocated us to the Bay Area in August of 2004. I started my firm in December of 2005.
I had a Chapter 7 client in San Jose that tried to get a loan modification prepetition and could not because his debt was too high. We filed bankruptcy and in the middle of bankruptcy I was able to modify his loan. I had an Oakland case where the loan was modified and there was potential adversary that was avoided.

I found bankruptcy while clerking when a client needed to do Chapter 7. I was told to figure it out. I have been practicing bankruptcy law ever since.
I like clients educating themselves. I want my clients making informed decisions about their case.
I am willing to do so depending on circumstances.
I would be willing to coach.
Out of law school, I worked for the law firm Brunswick, Keefe & Deer for approximately one year and then started my own firm. I have been a solo practitioner ever since.
I think being a parent makes me a better lawyer. I also think volunteering and giving back to the community is important. Doing activities and being involved helps keep me balanced.
I am very personable, so I am easy to talk to. We provide personal care to each client.
Personal interests:Wine tasting, volunteering with my children's cheerleading and activities. Movies, reading, singing and spending time with family and friends.
