Firm Focus and History

My firm was established when my business partner and I saw a need for offering the residents of Florida the dedicated criminal defense they deserve. My firm is focused on offering those faced with criminal charges the skilled and experienced legal support they need. By working closely with our clients, we are able to help them navigate through the often turbulent, tricky waters of avoiding criminal conviction with as little pain as possible.

Previous Employment Summary

I previously worked as an Assistant State Attorney in Broward County, as well working for a large insurance defense firm. Both have given me the trial experience needed to know the law intimately.

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I believe strongly in clients staying involved in all steps of the process and strongly encourage them to keep themselves educated on all of the legal issues they are facing.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I am willing to review all documents that I think will help me to assist my clients.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

Depending on the situation, I am willing to help my clients decide how I will best be able to help them.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I decided to become a lawyer, because I think everyone deserves a voice when facing legal issues. No matter the circumstance, no matter how daunting it may appear, I feel that it is my duty to make sure that they are represented with all of the experience and skill that I have to offer.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

My previous experience working on the other side of the law has given me a full, well-rounded understanding of the law so that I am able to best represent my clients. By knowing how the other side operates, I am able to predict how they will react and stay several steps ahead of the pack.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

I think that criminal defense is vitally important as it has a long-lasting, often life-altering affect on people's lives. Without the proper legal support, a criminal charge can cripple a person, leaving them with consequences that will branch off to touch every aspect of their lives. I wanted to be able to step in and help them in this time of need.

What do you like best about your career?

I love being able to help others when caught in an emotionally trying time. They need someone who is willing to fight for them, working hard to ensure their best interests are being kept at heart. By stepping in, I am able to give my clients the support and guidance they need.

Tell us about your law firm:

I work with my partner, Brett Schwartz, who I know is experienced and dedicated to offering our clients the highest level of professional help.

What are your strengths and style?

I am creative and tenacious in all my efforts to defend my clients. I am not afraid to do whatever it takes to help them on their way to getting the result they need.

Personal Interests:

I love practicing law and helping my clients in their efforts to fight for a brighter future.

Nolo's Licensing Check

Attorneys have passed a licensing check. Nolo has confirmed that every member attorney has a valid license and is in good standing with the state agency that licenses lawyers upon joining the directory.

Directory lawyers are required to notify Nolo immediately if they become the subject of any disciplinary action by any state licensing agency.
