Continuing Education
I routinely fly around the country to cutting edge seminars in all different areas of law, ethics, and effective advocacy.
Example Cases
1. I had a client who was badly burned when his BBQ turned into a blow torch due to a defective part that connected the BBQ to the propane tank. The manufacturer jerked us around. I flew to China and deposed their CEO. Less than a month after my return to the States the case was favorably settled.
2. I had a client who was hit by a driver on the highway who was driving carelessly. Numerous people in my client's car were injured including a 12 year old girl who was ejected from the vehicle and killed on impact. The insurer play ed games and refused to pay out the proper benefits even though the people in the car had paid enhanced monthly premiums for an umbrella policy. We went to trial and smacked them for over 500k.

Previous Employment Summary
Prior to founding the Law Firm of Jeremy Rosenthal I clerked for a Colorado Judge. This gave me valuable insight into the inner workings of the judicial system. Following that employment I worked for insurance companies (Sun Tse said, " if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle)."
What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?
I think it's nice for a client to have a basic understanding of the process. But your understanding will have large gaps and holes so it is important to hire a lawyer that you feel comfortable with so that you can let your lawyer handle your case with minimal interference.
Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?
This is not applicable to personal injury law.
Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?
I think this is a bad idea. Your opponent is a trained advocate. If you do not know the intricate rules of evidence and procedure you can lose your case without even knowing what happened.
Why did you decide to be a lawyer?
Because I relate to the underdog. I always wanted the power and access to put regular people like me on equal footing with the largest insurance companies and corporations.
What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?
I worked in the heart of the Bronx as a young man. I saw what happens when community disintegrates under poor economic conditions. Every lawyer has the duty to use their power and access to make their immediate community a better place to live.
Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?
Because I always wanted the power and access to put regular people like me on equal footing with the largest insurance companies and corporations.
What do you like best about your career?
That I can choose what cases that I take, and then I can use those cases as a vehicle to help people and to force the big players like Big Insurance to treat their stakeholders fairly.
Tell us about your law firm:
This is a law firm of workers who cares about what they do. You will not get lost in the shuffle. Every client is our most important case.
What are your strengths and style?
I am told that my greatest strength as a lawyer is that i am a good listener and that I tailor my approach to each client's needs.
Personal Interests:
Hiking, biking, skiing, poker tournaments, training large dogs.
