What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?
My website is designed to help educate potential clients. When I am contacted, I provide a book "The Ultimate Guide to Accident Cases in Georgia" for free along with other freebies that educate the general public about things to watch out for when dealing with insurance companies, doctors, etc.
Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?
I am willing.
Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?
I provide all the above-referenced free legal advice.
Why did you decide to be a lawyer?
I loved the law, my dad was a lawyer, and I wanted to help people.
What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?
I have learned through the experience of being married since 1995 and in raising three children how to become a better listener. I have also through my work experience (20 years) become a better teacher. I have written books and other educational materials for prospective clients to find the best lawyer for their particular case, and to make them aware of the many mistakes that people make when dealing with the insurance companies.
Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?
I enjoy the area of law, and can really help folks who need help.
What do you like best about your career?
I like helping families that have been devastated by injuries and death.
Tell us about your law firm:
I am a sole practitioner. I have wonderful paralegals who are very attentive to our clients’ needs and are knowledgeable about all facets of the personal injury claims and litigation process.
What are your strengths and style?
I am outgoing, empathetic - confident style but not cocky.
Personal Interests:
I enjoy coaching youth sports - basketball, baseball; playing golf, boating, and camping.
