When I started my own practice, I wanted to create a firm where my clients felt comfortable talking to their attorney. I do my best to return calls immediately. I am willing to think "outside the box" to help my clients resolve their personal legal problems from beginning to end.

I wanted to work with individual people and their needs.

I encourage my clients to learn more about the facts and issues surrounding their legal issues.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I am willing to review documents written by clients. However, clients must understand that reviewing a document entails more than just reading the document once and that significant changes may need to be made to the documents to truly reflect their goals.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I am willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves in court, as long as they understand the limitations of self-representation.

Ivy Chien

Prior to starting my practice, I worked as a contract attorney. While in law school, I clerked for many law firms including the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office located at the Los Angeles World Airport.

My education in psychology has helped me to better understand my clients, which in turn helps me serve their legal needs more effectively.

I can empathize with my clients' situation and apply different lawyer techniques.

I am generally friendly and professional but will be aggressive when need be.

Personal interests:

In my spare time, I enjoy family outings and volunteering in the community.
