Representing clients accused of crimes in Northern Florida.
I regularly handle all types of criminal cases from murder down to DUI/misdemeanors. Recently I have represented a client for murder at the Red Roof Inn in Gainesville, FL. Another of my cases that recently made the news was my representation of a prison guard accused of helping some inmates escape.

I enjoy the people in the criminal justice system and the clients. Helping people accused of crimes is very professionally satisfying.
A well-educated client is my favorite type of client because they understand their case.
I do not file documents prepared by my clients. However, I encourage my clients to assist me in preparing their case.
I do not believe anyone should represent themselves in criminal court.
I worked as a felony prosecutor during 1993-1995. I have also spent four years working for a firm that focused mostly on plaintiff's personal injury cases. I have extensive experience in litigating both criminal and civil cases.
Having worked with nearly a thousand clients during the past fifteen years has helped me to know how to relieve the stress for people during the time their cases is pending. Also, having tried over fifty jury trials in my career has made me very comfortable in taking a case to trial.
I have an excellent academic background and have worked on both sides of the criminal justice system.Personal interests:
Bible, coaching youth baseball, playing basketball, gardening, and major league baseball.
