I have focused my practice of law on consumer bankruptcy for more than 20 years. My staff and I are experienced at handling the issues financial difficulties create for individuals, families and small businesses.
My firm has assisted hundreds of individuals, families and small business owners throughout New Hampshire with resolving their financial difficulties.
• 2010 Case: NH Bankruptcy Court confirms reorganization case permitting family to void (strike entirely) a second mortgage on their home and providing for a 36 month plan for repayment of an arrearage on the family's first mortgage.
• 2011 Case: Successfully defended individual accused of fraudulent use of credit cards, resulting in the dismissal of charges of non-discharge-ability.
• 2010 Case: Small business reorganized to allow for the restructure of a commercial lease; 'cram-down' on secured liability resulting in significantly reduced debt and cessation of debt collection litigation.

The initial consultation for families or individuals is always free.
In the vast majority of cases we are able to offer fixed prices for consumer bankruptcy cases.
Due to the uniqueness of each individual's circumstances, I would prefer to review a client's case before quoting prices. There is no fee charged to individuals seeking an initial consultation with the Neiman Law Office.

Families, individuals and small business people need a chance at a "fresh start." The Bankruptcy Code offers that. It also offers the promise of ending unfair and deceptive debt collection practices and helps to level the playing field between large corporations and individuals.
A well educated client is well prepared to ask pertinent and intelligent questions. Bankruptcy is a complex area of law. Clients are encouraged to seek the assistance of a qualified professional. Someone like myself, who will take the time necessary to thoroughly review their financial circumstances and represent their interests.
I am available to review documents and court materials.
Bankruptcy is a complex and highly specialized area of law. While individuals are free to represent themselves before the Bankruptcy Court, I believe clients would best be served by seeking the counsel of qualified legal representation.
Prior to my work as a consumer bankruptcy lawyer, I worked with the faculty at Franklin Pierce Law Center (Concord, NH) seeking changes to New Hampshire law to allow for greater protection of New Hampshire families' homes. I also worked with the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests on New Hampshire legislation.
A substantial portion of my work involves bankruptcy representation in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Hampshire. I represent consumers and businesses before the federal bankruptcy court. My staff and I are experienced at handling the issues financial difficulties create for individuals, families and small businesses. Additionally, I work in the area of consumer concerns for fair credit reporting and fair debt collections practices representation. I am a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, and the National Association of Consumer Advocates.
I believe in preparation and professionalism. I strive to get the facts straight and succeed on my client's behalf each and every time, the first time. I believe I am approachable, but direct in my counseling and recommendations.
Personal interests:I love New Hampshire; its people, its environment and its opportunities. I love the outdoors; the woods and forest, mountains, lakes and seacoast. I spend lots of my personal time attending my kids' activities: sports, music and school events.
