I enjoy assisting entrepreneurs with forming a new business or helping existing business owners with the ongoing operation of their business.
I believe an educated, well-informed client is one who can better understand and appreciate the value that an experienced attorney can provide.
I am happy to review documents prepared by clients and to provide suggestions for improvements to those documents.
I am happy to advise clients when it is in their best interest and economical for them to represent themselves in small claims court.
My past experiences have led me to Thompson Law Office where I utilize my trial and litigation experience to the fullest.
Before attending law school I served as a legislative aide for a Nebraska State Senator for two legislative sessions. As a legislative aide I helped draft proposed legislation and work with interest groups to bring the proposed legislation into law. My term as a Lieutenant in the Nebraska Army National Guard has provided me with the skills to quickly size up a situation and then select and implement a strategy under pressure.
My strengths are my attention to detail, my emphasis on listening to what the client is communicating to me, and the importance I place on excellent writing skills. My style is calm and collaborative, and I strive to save a client time, expense and stress by seeking to find a reasonable and appropriate outcome where possible.
Personal interests:I am highly involved with the Nebraska State Bar Association, and I enjoy spending outdoor and other social activities with my family and friends.
