Gary Parvin, Attorney at Law

Mr. Parvin worked his way through law school, working 3 full years for the Legal Institute of Agricultural and Resource Development, at the University of MS Law School. His project was A Land Tenure Study of Rural Mississippi Land. During his tenure, the placing of rural land titles on the computer was a first accomplishment of its kind, so that Mr. Parvin began making contributions to his chosen field, even before graduating from law school. After graduation, he opened his own law firm in his home town of Starkville, MS, after a brief tenure with a law firm in Columbus, MS. He also taught business law at MSU from time to time. In April, 1990, he began to exclusively practice Social Security/Supplemental Security Income Disability at his rural location, with all cases referred to him.
Mr. Parvin graduated from Starkville High School in 1963. He graduated from Mississippi State University in 1966, with a bachelor of Arts Degree, and with Special honors. He graduated in 1969 from University of Mississippi Law School, with a Juris Doctorate Degree.
Mr. Parvin has had multiple achievements and awards throughout his career. He is also a member of multiple civic and professional organizations, including being a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR), and was also elected to the Board of this Organization in 2002, and re-elected in 2004. Additionally, he was elected, by unanimous vote, to Vice President of NOSSCR in 2007, and to President of NOSSCR in 2008. He is also a member of the Fifth Circuit Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (FSSCR), where he was elected President in 2003, and re-elected as President in 2005.
Mr. Parvin has delivered at least 50 presentations at various conferences and seminars over the years, all in regard to Social Security/SSI Topics. He has also delivered in service training to various organizations on Social Security Disability Law, and provided workshops for interested citizens regarding Social Security and Supplemental Security Income Disability.
Mr. Parvin is counsel for 300 to 400 deserving, disabled Social Security/Supplemental Security Claimants at all relevant times.
