All disability and personal injury claims.
Social Security cases and personal injury cases are handled on a contingent fee basis. There is no fee unless we win. I also assist people with disability insurance claims. Those fees might be contingent or hourly depending on the issues involved in the dispute with the insurance company.

I chose this practice area because I saw the trouble my grandfather and other working people had getting assistance when they became unable to work. My grandfather was my first disability client in 1978.
I encourage my clients to educate themselves about the disability process and have over 100 pages of information and links on my website.
I am always willing to review anything that a client feels is important, no matter what the source.
I encourage my clients to file their initial disability claim themselves if they have the ability to do so. There is no need for an attorney to do that for them. If they have a claim that is approved at that stage there is no need for them to incur costs for an attorney for something that they could have done. My website has instructions on how to file a claim and a link to the Social Security Administration website so they can file easily.
Too many lawyers do not that the time to meet with clients and get to know how their problems affect them. I meet personally at the first appointment with each client and take the time needed to fully understand their problems. Prior to the hearing I spent time making sure that the client knows what to expect at the hearing and what issues are important. Too many lawyers delegate these duties to paralegals or secretaries.
I had my own firm in Anderson, Indiana from 1978 until relocating to Florida. I worked for several firms specializing in personal injury litigation until opening my current firm.
I am the first member of my family to go to college. Members of my family had disabilities that limited their ability to work. My grandfather was my very first disability client.
I try to be as straight forward with clients as possible and give them the information that they need.Personal interests:
I am active in political and civic organizations that are trying to protect the interests of working class people and the disabled. When not doing that I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my grandchildren.
