Wink & Wink is a bankruptcy law firm. We file both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies. Our clients range from individuals and married couples with consumer debt to small business owners who need help dealing with their assets and liabilities in bankruptcy.
Wink & Wink is a family business and we take our service to our clients seriously. We give our clients our personal cell phone numbers and we strive to be available and attentive to client questions and needs.
Wink & Wink is a husband and wife law firm. Both Mike and Gailyn Wink are deeply committed to helping people struggling with debt and with using the power of the laws of bankruptcy to get their clients relief and a fresh start.
At Wink & Wink we are constantly working to eliminate debt for our Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 clients through bankruptcy discharge of credit card debt, medical bills and qualified back taxes. We analyze every case to determine if any outstanding liens on our clients' property can be stripped off, crammed down, or even avoided entirely. We help our clients determine the best possible timing for their bankruptcy case, saving them thousands of dollars. We have helped many clients in their pre-bankruptcy estate planning, maximizing their use of Colorado's bankruptcy exemptions.
We have successfully stopped garnishment orders, including one on a $28,000 judgment.
We have also successfully stripped liens and second mortgages in both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13.

We offer a free in-office consultation. This usually lasts about an hour, and we will fully analyze the options available to you under the bankruptcy code, including whether bankruptcy is a good choice for you at all.
Our services are provided on a flat-fee basis. The flat fee varies depending on the complexity of your case.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?
Bankruptcy law appealed to me because of the opportunity to level the playing field through effective use of the law, to help real people who need real help getting out of debt. It is important to me that my clients understand that bankruptcy is nothing to be ashamed of; it is their legal right and has been used by countless esteemed Americans in history.
What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?
We welcome clients who are interested in fully understanding bankruptcy law and the legal process. We write a blog that seeks to help educate our clients and others on important bankruptcy issues.
Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?
Once you are a client of Wink & Wink, we are happy to review any information you feel is important to your case. We only offer full-service representation. We will review, prepare and file your complete bankruptcy petition including any motions or notices required by the bankruptcy code.

Gailyn Wink
Gailyn Wink is an experienced and accomplished litigator, with trial experience in County as well as District Courts. Prior to practicing bankruptcy law she worked for the Colorado Public Defender's Office where she won a majority of her trials. Recognized for her skills in and out of the courtroom, she was the first Colorado Public Defender to receive the honor of being named Outstanding Young Lawyer by the First Judicial Bar Association.
Michael Wink is an accomplished businessman as well as a practicing attorney, with a Master of Business Administration as well as a Juris Doctorate. Prior to founding Wink & Wink, P.C., he was CEO of a private company with over $6 million in revenue and approximately 50 employees. Michael has experience in finance, mortgages, credit and corporate negotiations. Michael's combined business and legal background gives him insight into bankruptcy issues not enjoyed by many attorneys.
I am what some would call a "true believer." I have always enjoyed fighting for causes I believe in and am not easily intimidated. At the same time, my life experiences have left me open and empathetic to all people and all experiences. I truly enjoy my clients and am interested in their personal situations and how I can help them.
My strengths center in the court arena. I am comfortable in court and enjoy litigation. I enjoy being an effective advocate for my clients' cause. My skills coordinate nicely with those of my husband and partner, Mike, who has extensive experience in business and has a background in accounting.
Personal interests:I have two kids and a silly little dog who can do a back-flip. My free time is spent hanging out with my family, reading books and magazines and skiing when I can find the time. I grew up in Colorado and one of my favorite sights of all time is the view of the sun shining on the Flat Irons.
