Our firm focuses on providing solutions to business owners, businesses and hard working individuals who are seeking professional representation in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Luzerne and Lackawann Counties.
Mahler Lohin & Associates, LLC was formed in January of 2008 in Kingston, Pennsylvania by Paul Mahler, Eric Mahler and Joseph Lohin with the desire to provide business, tax and estate planning services to our clients in Northeast Pennsylvania, Luzerne and Lackawanna Counties. We wanted to provide representation in both the time honored and progressive areas of the law and we pride ourselves in our stewardship of the values of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre community.
I have represented a private company in its sale of stock by its shareholders to another company which resulted in over $13 million pre-tax to its shareholders. I have also successfully represented a company in business litigation and defended claims against it for $43 million which resulted in the client paying less than $75 thousand.

I enjoy working with business owners in coming up with practical solutions to help them meet their goals and requirements.
Many of our clients handle legal matters on their own, until they recognize a need for experienced help. Many clients understand their own limitations and look to use our services to save their time and to ensure it is done right.
I am always willing to review documents prepared by my clients, and sometimes all they require are some changes or thoughts on how to finalize documents so that it provides for what they want to occur.
I do that on an ongoing basis with clients, especially business clients who want to use the magisterial process to collect debts.
Associate Attorney for Mahler, Shaffer Pugliese and Finnegan from 1998 to 2008.
I believe that my background in engineering helps me review problems and find solutions to those problems for my clients. Further, I enjoy being part of the Luzerne, Lackawanna, and Northeastern Pennsylvania communities and being able to help better my community by being a part of local community service organizations. That involvement provides a good diverse perspective that I am able to use every day to the benefit of my clients.
I like to listen and then come up with a strategy that fits my client's needs and requirements. I believe that it is important to fit the strategy to the client's goals.
Personal interests:I am an avid golfer, swimmer and enjoy playing water polo when I have a chance.
