Normally potential clients pay a flat fee for an initial consultation. However, if you contact our office for an initial consultation and mention Nolo, Ms. Ayers will schedule a 30 minute telephone consultation free of charge.
Because of the unique nature and unpredictability of family law cases, and because of varying degrees of complexity, fees are determined on a case-by-case basis during the initial consult. Most clients are asked to make an initial retainer deposit. Billing statements are detailed and provided to the client on a monthly basis.
Please contact our office for rate inquiry.

Emily was drawn to the personal service aspect of being an advocate in the Family Court.
It is greatly beneficial to clients for them to be informed about the various legal issues with which they are involved. Clients who are knowledgeable and have a basic understanding of the legal process are better able to participate in the process. This participation helps alleviate some of the apprehension parties often feel when faced with a Family Court matter, and these clients often feel better about the results of their case because they have played an active role along the way.
Our firm is willing to review documents or agreements reached between clients and the opposing party.
Our firm is not willing to coach clients.
