My law practice focuses on personalized estate planning and estate administration for individuals, couples and families. These services include: revocable living trusts, family business entity planning, planning for non-citizen spouses, and irrevocable trusts, including life insurance trusts and personal residence trusts. As a father, I have a particular passion for helping families protect their minor children and that includes expanded counseling and worksheets in every estate plan for families with minor children.
I also provide corporate and business planning services, designed to fit the needs of medical professionals and owners of small to medium-sized businesses. My practice has grown to include estate litigation, civil litigation, business litigation and real estate litigation matters.
I opened my law practice in 2008 with a vision of providing personal legal services to my clients. My law office is run like a family business. My wife Ana runs the office; she serves as the office paralegal, notary and is in charge of marketing, public and client relations. I deal directly with all my clients and thrive to provide excellent service. Other family members also help during our trust signings, and my daughter visits the office for after-hour appointments.
Estate Planning: I represent clients of all types. Clients with modest, medium, and large estates, ($20+ million).
Business Law: My law office focuses on small and mid-sized businesses and their owners; entrepreneurs and start-ups opening a new business, businesses that need general legal advice but who don't have their in-house attorney, owners of medical offices and establishing businesses looking for asset protection and/or business succession planning.

I made a decision to go to law school after being perplexed by an estate legal issue faced by my family. My family had to pay a six-figure estate tax bill in a rush by selling the family's beach house. This was a very emotional experience for my family and may have been prevented with proper planning. This led to my interest in law and estate planning specifically.
I believe that the more knowledgeable a client is about legal issues and law, the more empowered they are about making choices that best fit their needs.
I would review documents prepared by clients.
Generally no but I am willing to coach clients on a case-by-case basis.
Prior to opening my law office, I worked with another estate planning attorney who was a specialist in Estate Planning. This gave me a great understanding of the estate planning field. Prior to graduation from law school, I was a Vice President of New Capital Education, a business consulting firm, worked in Venture Capital research at Dow Jones, and was a paralegal at a San Francisco litigation law firm.
Given the experience described above, I understand what families go through with improper estate planning so I can coach them with steps on how to avoid some of the same mistakes. I think that personal experience helps me be a better lawyer in the estate planning practice. Also, being a business owner helps me understand the needs of entrepreneurs more. I am also VP of BNI Desert Professionals.
Approachable, comfortable and friendly office atmosphere. I am focused on finding practical legal solutions.
