Fixed-Price Services and Fees

Most estate planning services are provided on a fixed fee basis. A basic estate plan for a married couple (consisting of a living trust, wills, durable powers of attorney, healthcare directives, marital property agreement, and assistance with funding home) is generally between $2,500 and $4,000 for the couple. However, we rarely give a specific quote until the end of the one-hour consultation, because we need to understand each person's financial situation and estate planning goals in order to provide advice and make recommendations.

Hourly Rates

$350 for principal attorney; $200 for associate; $95 for paralegal time.

Free Initial Consultation?

Yes. One hour for estate planning clients. Half hour for probate and trust administration clients.

Typical Retainer

Typical retainer is one-half of the fixed fees.

Understanding Fees

Nolo's Licensing Check

Attorneys have passed a licensing check. Nolo has confirmed that every member attorney has a valid license and is in good standing with the state agency that licenses lawyers upon joining the directory.

Directory lawyers are required to notify Nolo immediately if they become the subject of any disciplinary action by any state licensing agency.
