Firm Overview
Represent individuals with directed action and need to control cost and time spent, with all work done immediately and with an aim to fairly settle if possible, with my emphasis on real property matters and litigation of all kinds, and Goforth's emphasis on Worker Com, PI and general civil. We are experienced and efficient.
1986 formed partnership to represent individuals at most serious times and crisis with emphasis on ability to meet highest standards of litigation in both toughness and expertise to get the job done and have happy clients.
Currently I represent 15 clients, all of whom were victimized by a Ponzi or pyramid scheme in which they were also used as "straw buyers" with devastating losses averaging $250,000. The court has appointed a receiver, and named defendants including the title company whose inside contact facilitated this fraud. My knowledge of broker duties and the typical progress of these types of predatory schemes is invaluable and adds up to hope.

The issues involving litigation, property and contract rights are intellectually challenging and always require more research. The resolution of the issues brings great relief and justifies the effort.

Christopher R. Lucas
Since 1980, wide experience in every type of civil litigation including property and contracts. The overlap and interdisciplinary experience produces exciting insights and approaches for efficient resolution of the individual, one case at a time.
I lived in Mexico as a child and speak Spanish. I worked for three years as a construction laborer on the Trans Alaska Pipeline between graduation from Cal Berkeley and enrollment in law school. I detest elitist attitudes. My clients all have much to teach me.
My intellect and grasp of the issues are excellent. If I needed a lawyer, I would want me. I read and understand legal issues, as well as understand the typical problems of cases and what to avoid.
My papers convince my clients that they are in good hands. I am efficient and will locate the bottom line issues immediately. I do not pose and try to employ the undisputed truth as much as possible. I can be blunt both to the other side, and even to my clients, with whom my relations are incredibly good.
I am very active and keep dogs. My long stable law partnership and thirty year marriage (she is also the office manager) keep me going.
