Example Cases

Information coming soon.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

We encourage clients to educate themselves with regard to the law, often it gives the client a different perspective on the goal to be accomplished. The areas of law we practice in tend to benefit those clients who self-educate, because a client with knowledge can understand the goal the attorney is trying to achieve.

Are your attorneys willing to review documents prepared by clients?

We are certainly willing to review documents prepared by clients because part of our practice requires that we review documents prepared by various people including clients and their attorneys. We understand that some clients are do-it-yourself oriented and that this may save them time and legal fees in the long run.

Are your attorneys willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

In limited cases we would be willing to coach a client that wanted to represent themselves. This would require a client with some knowledge of the law and the ability to self-educate. Some cases have high stakes, and it is these cases that we strictly do not coach clients because of possible negative outcomes.

Are your attorneys willing to help a client with one discrete part of a case, without taking on the whole case?

Our attorneys specialize in various areas and often our job entails limiting the scope of our representation. It is our experience that clients typically have more than one legal issue; while the attorneys are typically capable of handling all the client’s issues, it is the client who only wants the attorney to deal with a particular issue. Thus our attorneys are happy to take on specific legal issues.

What are your policies about dividing work among the firm's partners, associates, and paralegals to make the process most cost-effective for the client?

We focus first and foremost on providing a quality product to our clients. We are certainly cost-conscious about the needs and requirements of our clients. We often only bill for one attorney’s work when multiple staff or firm members have assisted on the case.

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?

Often in certain circumstances, like divorce or business disputes, for example.

Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?

Each of our attorneys takes their duty to provide pro bono services very seriously.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

We are young, energetic, bright and accessible. Our firm focuses on utilizing technology to better connect us with our clients, in ways less time and money consuming than the standard “come on in to our office for a meeting.”

Nolo's Licensing Check

Attorneys have passed a licensing check. Nolo has confirmed that every member attorney has a valid license and is in good standing with the state agency that licenses lawyers upon joining the directory.

Directory lawyers are required to notify Nolo immediately if they become the subject of any disciplinary action by any state licensing agency.
