Services Offered For Fixed Fees?

Fees vary depending on whether the matter is cooperative, default,complex or fully contested. Hourly and Flat Fee matters with time over the allotted time charges on an hourly basis from 1/10 of an hour.

Flat Fee or up to $200.00 per hour depending on the needed service with time billed at the 10th of an hour.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I have the years of legal experience necessary to accomplish the goals of my clients in all family law matters including divorce, custody, support, adoption and criminal expungement.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

Self education is generally helpful and encouraged but trying to use some self-help 'kits' or some internet forms, regardless of the source, is strongly discouraged. Hire this office or some other attorney with as much experience as possible. Important issues are often hidden and can be far too complex, important and long lasting to not have an experienced attorney guide you through the maze of issues which can last for a lifetime and may result in serious unanticipated loss of your rights, benefits, money, support for you and your children.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Yes but I strongly discourage anyone without extensive experience in the law from trying to prepare their own documents and/or trying to represent themselves inthe filing of any Court proceeding without the assistance of a trained and seasoned attorney. I have handled thousands for family related matters and you owe it to yourself to have the benefit of experience on your side for candid advise and assistance.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I strongly discourage.

• I have maintained a well-rounded life with high school in Junction City and College and Law School in Topeka. I worked thru college as a professional musician playing a Hammond B-3 organ with various popular bands traveling throughout the mid-west. I grew up in a large local family with a strong work ethic. I am married for the second time and we have a solid relationship of over 26 years,with two children and two grandchildren. I have seen the good, the bad, the sad and the complicated side of marriage and life thru both my personal and my professional life.

I have extensive experience in managing marital and family conflict.
