We focus on real estate and estate planning. We are a small town law firm focused on helping people solve their legal problems.
Our firm started in 1984 when I joined Henry H. Newlin in his practice. He became a judge in the early 90s and it has been a solo practice since that time.
We recently represented a contractor in a jury trial where he was awarded every penny of his damages, in spite of counter-claims by the Defendant. We also recovered all of his attorney fees from the Defendant, very unusual in a case of this nature.

The areas of practice are the ones required in a small town practice.
I think there is a lot of information available, not all of it understandable to a layperson.
We are always willing to review documents.
I think these are cases where clients should represent themselves and I am glad to provide advice.
In my last job I was an attorney in the legal department of First Federal of Michigan.
I have had numerous other jobs and while practicing have taken on other projects and board memberships which help me understand how things work and get done.
I return phone calls and try to be very responsive to my clients needs.
Personal interests:Tennis, reading, bicycling and boating.
