Example Cases
We recently represented a contractor in a jury trial where he was awarded every penny of his damages, in spite of counter-claims by the Defendant. We also recovered all of his attorney fees from the Defendant, very unusual in a case of this nature.

We focus on real estate and estate planning. We are a small town law firm focused on helping people solve their legal problems.
Our firm started in 1984 when I joined Henry H. Newlin in his practice. He became a judge in the early 90s and it has been a solo practice since that time.

I think there is a lot of information available, not all of it understandable to a layperson.

We are always willing to review documents.

I think these are cases where clients should represent themselves and I am glad to provide advice.
Why did you decide to be a lawyer?
It always looked interesting and with a lot of variety.
What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?
I have had numerous other jobs and while practicing have taken on other projects and board memberships which help me understand how things work and get done.
Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?
The areas of practice are the ones required in a small town practice.
What do you like best about your career?
The people and the opportunity to help them one on one.

I am a solo practitioner, so all of my clients deal directly with me. I have a wonderful staff who are attentive to all of my clients' immediate needs. They have a wealth of knowledge and are sensitive to the needs of my clients.
What are your strengths and style?
I return phone calls and try to be very responsive to my clients needs.
