Previous Employment Summary
I have been working since I was fourteen years old in restaurants, hotels, retail stores, and in law firms.
What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?
I hope all of my clients educate themselves on legal issues so that they can assist in the preparation of their cases.
Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?
I review all documents provided by clients.
Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?
Whenever possible, I try to direct pro se parties towards free or reduced rate legal resources. However, I do not coach clients who want to represent themselves.
Why did you decide to be a lawyer?
Several years ago, I worked for a company that didn't follow its own employee rules and learned at that point that the little guy needs someone to stand up for him. That's when I decided to go to law school.
What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?
Practicing law for several years helps you become a better lawyer. Also, questioning your own beliefs as to what actually happed, the ability to keep an open mind, listening to people, lots of exercise, and hard work help you become a better lawyer.
Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?
I chose personal injury and insurance litigation after handling a wide variety of civil cases. I chose this practice because many of my clients lack the financial means to pay an attorney and most personal injury and insurance litigation cases can be handled on a contingency fee basis.
What do you like best about your career?
When people you help say thank you and are appreciative of the work that you have done for them.
Tell us about your law firm:
All of my clients deal directly with me. Also, I have a wonderful paralegal and legal assistant who are caring and attentive to all of my clients' immediate needs.
What are your strengths and style?
Work hard. Work hard. Work harder.
Personal Interests:
Fishing, grilling, and spending time with my family.
