My practice is focused exclusively on estate planning, asset protection planning, estate and trust administration and probate. I am also of-counsel to the business planning law firm of Stigler Wussow, LTD in Boulder, CO and the law firm of Braverman and Hymowitz, PA in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
In order to better serve my clients in harmony with my own vision and values, I established my solo practice in January 2008.
A unique aspect of my practice involves Family Meetings, when appropriate. During these meetings, I facilitate conversation and educate my clients' families about their estate plans and how estate planning works in the real world. Many of my clients have expressed how invaluable this is for them and their children. Children express their gratitude for being part of the planning process and knowing that they now have a trusted advisor to call upon in a time of need.

I do offer complimentary initial consultations and I don't limit the time duration. My experience is that most initial consultations fall within a one to three hour range. This provides the opportunity for you to educate me about your unique situation and for me to educate you about the law that applies to your situation. Of course, it also allows us to see if we are a comfortable fit and would enjoy working together.
My estate planning fees are fixed and mostly fall within four levels of planning and fee ranges. I prefer not to quote fees until I have had the opportunity for my clients to educate me about their unique concerns, values and estate planning objectives.
This is not applicable.
Regular office hours and weekends upon request. I also offer house calls when needed.
I wanted to practice law that actually benefits my clients in a tangible way and provides them with peace of mind. Estate planning also allows me the opportunity to work with my clients around sometimes sensitive family issues, and I derive a great deal of personal satisfaction and am honored to serve my clients in this fashion.
I believe that it is important for clients to have a degree of understanding of relevant estate planning issues and techniques, so that they can be active co-participants in designing their estate plans. However, I think that clients at some point find that estate planning research is like going down a rabbit hole and may suffer from paralysis by analysis, if they don't seek expert advice.
I believe that estate planning is far too nuanced and sophisticated for most people to prepare their own estate plans. However, there are other areas such as trust funding and certain trust administration, where clients can take an active role, with the attorney reviewing their work.
I love coaching my clients, however, I feel that it would be a disservice to coach people in this area of the law to represent themselves.
Prior to attending law school, I was an executive in the food distribution industry for ten years. I spent one year in the financial services industry to gain a better understanding of finance and following graduation from law school, I spent 12 years with the firm of Braverman and Rossi, PA in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. After moving to Boulder, Colorado, I co-founded the law firm of Lindquist and Braverman, PC.
Because I attended law school after an executive career, I had a unique perspective that made law school less academic and more practical. My combined experience in business, financial planning and as a student of the human condition all coalesce perfectly around estate planning. My mother told me a long time ago that if I didn't practice estate planning, the world will have lost out. I took her advice and have enjoyed my practice tremendously ever since.
My style is best described as unpretentious. I want my clients to feel comfortable with me and with the process of estate planning. I believe I've been successful with this approach as I have become personal friends with many of my clients. My unique strength is my ability to explain complicated estate planning concepts in an easy to understand fashion.Personal interests:
I am a long distance runner and I hike the Colorado 14ers in the summer.
