I founded the firm in 2008 to provide an exceptional level of service to aviation, tax and bankruptcy clients. Our main office is in Naples, Florida where we serve a worldwide clientele.
I have helped hundreds of clients through the process of filing and completing their Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies, giving them a discharge and a fresh start. I have an extensive track record of getting favorable results in audit defense matters, including "no change" letters in IRS examinations and resolving state tax disputes, saving my clients millions of dollars in tax liability. As far as my aviation tax practice is concerned, I have closed hundreds of aircraft transactions involving everything from light sport aircraft to Fortune 100 business jets.

I enjoy utilizing my special training in tax law (my LL.M. distinction) in coming up with answers to the hard tax questions. I take great pleasure in helping my clients with their business tax needs. This can include everything from which entity to form to how to structure your relationships with other partners or shareholders to the types of deductions you can take and how to take them.
I have specific experience working with private aircraft owners. This is very narrowly focused area of the tax law is fascinating in that you can achieve substantial cost savings when purchasing a business plane. Advising clients in this area requires somebody with not only a firm grounding in tax law, but also in the specific nuances of aviation law.
getting audited by the IRS for the Florida Department of revenue can be a nerve-racking experience. I enjoy helping my clients wherever possible, to be the tax man and keep more of what they earn. One thing I've discovered is how important it is for anyone who is audit to reach out to a professional immediately, so that you do not compromise your rights or provide information that's not required. While the taxing authorities might be very nice and very professional, the fact is they are not on your side the way your employer will be.
The key is for my clients to have a good understanding of their problem and the possible range of solutions. Of course, the better educated you are coming through the door to more in depth we can get early in the process. I look at the attorney-client relationship as just that, a relationship. I am your coach in figuring out the right plays for the job.
For quality, ethical and insurance reasons, I gear my practice towards drafting any documents my clients need.

I have global experience in representing taxpayers nationwide in a wide range of tax matters. Some notable accomplishments include assisting the State of Colorado to develop a uniform approach to taxing general aviation leasing structures, which approach has since been adopted in numerous other states. I have successfully defended dozens of clients facing hundreds of thousands of dollars of sales and use tax exposure or liability.
I have enjoyed a unique blend of work experiences not only in the law but in technology, human resources, and health care. As an entrepreneur with my own firm, I have a particular appreciation for the needs of businesspeople. I have a variety of different interests in music, sports and technology that broaden my exposure and perspective on life.
I try not to take myself too seriously and to listen to my clients' needs with empathy and understanding.
Personal interests:Music (I am a drummer and a DJ) and great movies.
