How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I understand the unpredictability of life and that sometimes good people can find themselves in tough situations. I started my career in the loan modification industry, and quickly found that my clients were unable to afford their mortgage payments because they were overwhelmed by credit card debt with interest rates that kept rising, and home equity loans on homes with absolutely no equity. These common difficulties lead me to bankruptcy law, and I have not looked back since. I am constantly driven to help people achieve the clean slate that they deserve.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

At the Stone Haven Law Group, we believe that it is important for a client to be educated, informed, and prepared. To that end, we do everything we can to assist clients in understanding their legal circumstances and their options.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

We always review our clients documents before discussing them in detail, asking follow-up questions, and subsequently filing any paperwork. It is important for any attorney to conscientiously review all of the documents a client prepares and provides.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

Due to the nature of bankruptcy law and procedure, we are unable to coach clients in this capacity.
