Continuing Education

I attend continuing legal education seminars focused on trial/litigation techniques, strategies, and skills. I pride myself on staying up to date on the changes in the law. The law is forever changing and knowledge of the recent changes can be the difference between spoils and riches.

Papers and Publications

Rather than publishing, I enjoy attending round tables and discussing and speaking about the rising issues in the legal community.

Example Cases

A client came to us after having two other attorneys inform her she did not have a case. We immediately filed suit and prepared the case for trial. Before trial, the defense attorneys requested mediation and after presenting our case in mediation the case settled for a confidential high seven figures amount.

A client came to us after a tractor trailer accident having suffered a shoulder injury with only $15,000 in medical bills. After preparing for trial and tough negotiations our client received $250,000 compensation for the shoulder injury.

Previous Employment Summary

I began my career focusing on international business, which led me to every corner of the world. After learning the different realms of business, I developed a strong interest with the law. After completing law school, I began in entertainment law on Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee. I then returned to my home town and joined forces with Floyd Don Davis when he retired as Judge. Since then, our law firm has been fighting for the rights of injured victims getting them the compensation they richly deserve.

Activities and Awards

Our law firm believes the true measure of success is the success we share with our clients. Our law firm is routinely voted the best law firm in Franklin County, Tennessee.

This firm is a debt relief agency that helps people file for bankruptcy under the bankruptcy code.

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I am a true believer in the more you know the better you are. Anytime a client understands the case and the direction we are headed it is much easier to reach our goals.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I do not recommend anyone who is not an attorney to prepare legal documents. Our firm has an open door policy where an attorney is there to assist our clients in their everyday matters. We believe in representing the client in their personal injury claim but we do not feel our representation ends at that point. We try to provide legal assistance in every aspect.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

We believe in our craft as attorneys and pride ourselves in being the best. With that in mind, we believe we provide a valued asset with our legal assistance and do not suggest individuals represent themselves.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I am a second generation attorney so I have always seen the law from the inside out. My father was judge while I was growing up and he retired from the bench to start the law practice. I have always respected the law but I have witnessed the frustrations that evolve when the system under-compensates the injured. It is important to me to help people through some of the hardest times. I take pride in making good out of a bad situation and getting those that are hurt the justice they deserve.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

We have dealt with many cases where without our assistance people would have been in dire straits. Many times the job we do for a client makes a dramatic change in the person's life. I have always been driven to do the very best. I find great accomplishment and satisfaction in handling a case where the client wins only if I win. By practicing on that basis it guarantees my client will get the very best from our firm.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

I have a strong sense of justice and believe in holding insurance companies accountable. I have always enjoyed the stage of the court room so becoming a trial lawyer was an easy decision. I have always prevailed in an adversarial setting and continue to do the very best for my clients. If I help and do good work, the money naturally follows.

What do you like best about your career?

After an injury company or defense attorney has gone about business in a manner I do not approve of, I enjoy watching my injured client walk away with the upper hand.

Tell us about your law firm:

Our law firm consists of three partners and a highly involved support legal staff. We have nine people in our office and everyone is familiar and educated on every case. We work well together and pride ourselves on being there for the clients when our clients need us the most. Unlike most law firms, we take our phone calls. When you call our firm you will speak with the attorney handling your case.

What are your strengths and style?

I am a highly effective communicator and I am driven on being able to make the facts come to life. I believe that a good lawyer can emphasize the strengths of a case so as to allow the jury a view from the injured perspective. If one is able to effectively present a case the rewards are certain.

Personal Interests:

Away from the court room, I enjoy almost every sport so long as competition is involved.
