Firm Focus and History
My firm is focused on both Personal Injury and Criminal Defense. I have a full staff dedicated to progressing cases, but I handle each case. Insurance adjusters have specifically asked me why I fight so hard for clients and do not simply accept their initial offers. I am aggressive and fight hard for my clients.
Previous Employment Summary
Originally I started the practice of law in a large insurance defense firm, where I learned the tactics that insurance companies use to deny claims. From there, I moved to a law firm that practiced both criminal law and personal injury, where I honed my skills both as a trial lawyer and effective advocate.
What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?
Although clients should be able to rely upon the advice of their attorney, anyone involved in a legal battle should educate themselves as much as possible.
Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?
If the document is helpful to a client's case, I'm glad to review it.
Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?
Generally, pro-se litigants are fighting an up-hill battle; I generally will not coach individuals, but I am willing to give basic advice.
Why did you decide to be a lawyer?
Law governs almost every aspect of life. I decided that I would rather understand the system than be a victim to it.
What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?
After college, I worked on advanced degrees and started as a teacher. The best lawyers are good communicators. I feel that I am an excellent communicator.
Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?
I began my criminal defense practice nearly a decade ago when a secretary at my first law firm was falsely accused of being an accessory to murder. Watching the State of Nevada ensnare the innocent secretary in a criminal investigation, I knew I wanted to help protect the innocent against such far-reaching power. I was successful in obtaining a dismissal of the charges, and have since defended clients against criminal charges in hundreds of cases
What do you like best about your career?
I love being able to help people navigate the civil and criminal systems and being able to make a difference in people's lives.
Tell us about your law firm:
I am a solo practitioner, so all of my clients deal directly with me. I have three paralegals that help manage the files, make sure everything is in order and are extremely knowledgeable.

I am detail oriented and aggressive in the courtroom.

I enjoy scuba diving, pistol shooting, hiking, and travel.
