Matthew B. Drexler is an attorney in the Domestic & Civil Litigation Division. Mr. Drexler assists our domestic relations clients in cases ranging from uncontested divorces to complex litigation involving high asset property valuation and distribution and contested allocations of parental responsibilities including parenting time, decision making, and child support. Mr. Drexler also assists clients in juvenile cases (i.e. dependency and neglect actions) and probate matters including guardianship and adoption.

Mr. Drexler also leads the civil litigation subdivision of the Gasper Law Group and has represented clients in complex litigation matters including personal injury and premises liability actions, trucking and major auto accidents, commercial and residential real estate and lease disputes, and commercial and mechanic’s liens.

Mr. Drexler brings commitment, experience, and steadfast determination to the clients of the Gasper Law Group. Prior to joining the firm in 2009, Mr. Drexler was an attorney in the law firm of Godin & Baity, LLC located on 17th Street in downtown Denver, Colorado. Mr. Drexler worked on many complex civil litigation cases as well as domestic, criminal, and probate matters. Mr. Drexler brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Gasper Law Group and maintains his connections and relationships with Godin & Baity, LLC including sharing legal counsel roles in several cases.

Mr. Drexler is a former Deputy State Public Defender and worked in the Appellate Division of the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender where he represented clients pursuing felony criminal appeals. Prior to relocating to Colorado, Mr. Drexler worked as a Law Clerk at Dalsey, Ferrara & Albano of Springfield, Massachusetts in the areas of civil litigation, insurance defense, subrogation and personal injury. Mr. Drexler was Symposium Editor on the Western New England College Law Review, graduated with honors, and excelled as a faculty research assistant.

Prior to beginning his legal career, Matt was the Program Administrator for a National Science Foundation Research Program in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of South Carolina.

Partner, Ms. Teresa Drexler is the managing attorney in the Domestic Relations Division. Ms. Drexler is a native of Phoenix, Arizona and relocated to Colorado Springs after law school. Ms. Drexler graduated from Western New England College School of Law where she earned a position on the Dean's List. Upon arriving in Colorado, Ms. Drexler founded Legal Consultants, a Colorado limited liability company, where she concentrated in the areas of family law and civil litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Drexler served as a Deputy District Attorney for the 4th Judicial District in El Paso County, Colorado.

Ms. Drexler has vast experience in criminal cases and is certainly no stranger to the practice of domestic law. Ms. Drexler's dedication to family law was evident early on in law school where Ms. Drexler formed the Family Law Association and advocated for the rights and responsibilities of parents. Ms. Drexler has also handled domestic litigation issues including contested divorce proceedings, dependency and neglect hearings, civil and criminal protection order hearings, and allocation and modification of parental responsibilities (parenting time, child support, and allocation of extraordinary medical expenses). As an associate at this firm, Ms. Drexler is well equipped to handle domestic and criminal matters from intake to final resolution.

Ms. Drexler is loyal, dedicated to her clients, and comes to the firm with extensive negotiation, mediation, and trial experience. Ms. Drexler's ability to adapt to the ever-changing needs of her clients is an asset in high demand in domestic law practice.

Stephen A. Brunette is a lawyer and legal author. His practice emphasis is on Appeals (civil and criminal); Commercial, Real Estate and Probate litigation; and Consultation to Lawyers on the use of Expert Evidence in civil and criminal trials and appeals. He has served on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, the Board of Trustees of the Forensic Sciences Foundation, the Forensic Specialties Accreditation Board, and the Standing Committee on Publishing Oversight of the American Bar Association. He has several legal publications, was a contractor with Thomson-West Publishing for in the development and launch of West's Colorado Jury Verdict Reporter, and has organized and conducted several CLE programs related to law and forensic sciences for national and state organizations.

Daniel N. Noffsinger is an attorney in the Domestic Relations Division.

Mr. Noffsinger is a native to Colorado Springs. Mr. Noffsinger is also a decorated combat veteran with nearly nine years of Army experience, including involvement in the expeditionary force to Iraq in 2003. Mr-. Noffsinger was an infantry medic with the 82d Airborne Division and was responsible for the health and welfare of twenty-six soldiers.

Mr. Noffsinger is a former criminal prosecutor with the 4th Judicial District, District Attorney's office where he conducted numerous jury trials both felony and misdemeanor and prepared countless motions and other legal documents. Mr. Noffsinger was able to gain valuable experience and insight in dealing with victims of serious crime, the officers involved, and other attorneys in the state.

Mr. Noffsinger earned his juris doctor at The Penn State Dickinson School of law where he was a member of the trial advocacy team. While in law school, Mr. Noffsinger clerked for a judge in the state capital of Harrisburg, writing judicial opinions and appeals and later worked as a certified legal intern in the Harrisburg District Attorney's office. Mr. Noffsinger also earned a business degree from the University of Georgia, where he graduated magna cum laude. While attending the University of Georgia he was a member of the university judiciary and the academic honesty council.

Jessica L. Hughes is an attorney in the Domestic Relations Division. She works with clients in Family Law matters including divorces and parenting time.

Ms. Hughes is a native of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She began her career in law after high school as a paralegal for local criminal defense firm. During her time as a paralegal Ms. Hughes pursued an Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences focusing specifically in Paralegal, at Pikes Peak Community College. She continued her education at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science in December 2007. In 2008, Ms. Hughes attended New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts. While attending law school she focused her curriculum on criminal law and procedure.

Upon graduating law school Ms. Hughes returned to Colorado and passed the bar exam in October of 2012. Since her return to Colorado Ms. Hughes joined the faculty of Pikes Peak Community College and SUNY: Canton as an adjunct professor for the legal studies program. She has taught courses in Mediation, Family Law, Criminal Law and Legal Research and Writing. Additionally, Ms. Hughes served as a law clerk for the Honorable District Court Judge David L. Shakes with the 4th Judicial District. In this position she assisted the Judge with researching and drafting decisions on criminal law issues regarding jury voir dire, Batson challenges, rules of evidence, and the juvenile direct file statute.

In her free time Ms. Hughes enjoys a good book with a strong cup of coffee and the occasional dance class.

Haily Stansberry is an attorney in the Domestic Relations Division. She assists clients in Family Law matters ranging from divorces to child custody, to protective orders. Ms. Stansberry is a strong advocate for children, and brings a mental health/domestic violence background to our practice.

Prior to joining the firm Ms. Stansberry worked as a multidisciplinary attorney in the fields of Family Law, Personal Injury, and Bankruptcy (both chapter 7 and 13). Ms. Stansberry integrates her knowledge of finances into her specialty Family Law work, doing personalized cost/benefit analysis of each client’s options before recommending a course of action.

Ms. Stansberry is a graduate of the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law in Gainesville, Florida. While there, she obtained a Certificate in Family Law, meaning she specialized in the study of Family Law and the impact of legal actions on families while in law school. She was also a member of the Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Clinic (IPVAC) as a student attorney, which required training in the mental health aspects of domestic violence. IPVAC provided victims of domestic violence with mental health counseling, social and government assistance, and legal services which interrelated to help rehabilitate victims. Ms. Stansberry brings a passion for families affected by domestic violence, and an understanding of the mental health aspects of domestic violence that is critical when guiding clients and families through exceptionally tough times. Before working at IPVAC, Ms. Stansberry worked for Child Protection Team in Florida, advocating for children of abuse. She continues to advocate for children through her work at the Gasper Law Group.

When not working, Ms. Stansberry enjoys reading and spending time with her animals. As a graduate of Virginia Tech and the University of Florida, she is also an avid college football fan.

Mr. Drexler worked as a criminal defense investigator in Colorado Springs for 13 years before attending Washburn University Law School. His experience includes six years as an attorney at the Colorado State Public Defender, in both the Greeley and Denver Trial Offices, where he provided full representation to clients in the County and District Courts, handling numerous preliminary, bond, and motions hearings, and over 30 jury trials in cases ranging from DUI to first degree murder. The combined experience of the two legal careers provides Mr. Drexler a strong foundation in representing clients in serious criminal matters.

Jennifer L. Hochstein is an associate attorney practicing primarily in the area of Domestic Relations and Family Law. She is a recipient of the Thompson West Award for Excellence in Domestic Relations Law, 2012; and was on the Dean's List (Spring 2010, Spring, Fall 2011); Additionally she has handled matters in Criminal Defense and in Civil Litigation. While attending law school she was the recipient of the CALI Award for Academic Excellence in International Criminal Law (top grade), 2011. The Gasper Law Group, PLLC is thrilled to have her as part of our team. In her spare time she loves traveling, Zumba, sports, outdoor recreation.
