Anthony L. Sokolow, P.C.

Mr. Sokolow has been practicing in the areas of Social Security disability, personal injury and workers’ compensation law in Colorado since 1980.  He is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the Colorado Trial Lawyers
Association.

Anthony L. Sokolow was born in New York City and grew up in Connecticut.  After graduating from Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, Massachusetts in 1971, he attended Colorado College and received his Bachelor of Arts in 1975.  He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver College of Law in 1980.

He is admitted to the Bar in the State of Colorado and is licensed to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the United States District Court.


A significant portion of Mr. Sokolow’s practice is devoted to Social Security Disability Income and Supplemental Security Income claims.  These are claims for disability benefits which are provided by the United States government.  Mr. Sokolow represents claimants for these benefits throughout the state of Colorado.

Because Mr. Sokolow practices in both personal injury and workers’ compensation, he frequently litigates cases where the injured parties are entitled to benefits through both systems. An example of such a case is an automobile collision in which the injured victim was within the course and scope of his or her employment at the time of the accident. He feels it is important that the two types of cases be handled by one experienced attorney to achieve the optimum recovery of benefits for the injured client. If the two cases are not coordinated and pursued properly, benefits can be terminated prematurely, resulting in a diminished recovery. 

Anthony L. Sokolow lives in Douglas County with his wife, Catherine. They have two daughters, Karen and Grace.
