Nolo Legal Editor (Workers’ Comp and Personal Injury Law)

Description

We are looking for a legal editor with experience in the areas of workers’ comp and personal injury law to join the editors and researchers in our hard-working, friendly editorial department. The new editor will write and edit content for the Nolo website and Nolo-branded websites, update existing books and articles, and edit new books.

Our ideal applicant must:

    - Have a law degree from an accredited law school and be a member in good standing in a state bar
    - Have three to five years’ experience in the two practice areas noted above, as a practicing attorney or court staff member (employment law a plus)
    - Have excellent writing and editing skills, particularly for a non-legal audience
    - Be comfortable writing and editing online content
    - Work well with other people, be able to juggle several projects at once, and be able to meet deadlines

We’re looking for a motivated individual with strong Quality Assurance and analytical abilities to be a hands-on manager of a team of QA Engineers. The ideal candidate will have 2-3+ years of leading a quality assurance team, 5+ years of software and web quality assurance experience, experience in web-based technologies and testing, a background in software/web development, and meticulous attention to detail. Strong test case creation, black box testing, documentation, and communication skills are a must. Previous test automation experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Manage a small team of QA Engineers
- Be the QA lead (point person) for one or more products.

Qualifications:
